I read an interview with Bono once, in which he said that he thought that people wouldn’t want to know how an album was made, or a song written (I think he was talking about the time tapes from the Achtung Baby sessions had been stolen), and that it was a bit like a sausage! In other words, you’d probably enjoy it more if you didn’t know what went into it! Well, he might have a point about sausages, but I’m a bit of a music geek, and I like seeing / hearing how things are created, and what they become. So, this a brand new song - pretty much the first time we played it right through from start to finish in some sort of arrangement. Words made up on the spot. It may amount to nothing, but we think it might have something we can work with. In a couple of months we might be able to post a fully completed song and if you’re interested you can see how things changed (or didn’t as the case may be!)
